My first bikini contribution to Street Fighter V.

Hi folks,

So with a lot of barefoot modding, I was dying to do something better like a proper mesh mod with color customization, physics etc. I have made a lot of bikini outfits for SFxT and USF4 and it's time to do my first contribution to SFV, the obvious choice of character is Laura because she's a character that's always ready for these kind of outfits. She's hot and she's lively, a perfect choice for bikini mod.

I actually completed a body mesh for her sometime ago, I didn't used her XNALara body because it has some issues like broken UVs and pelvis area that is slimmer than her original body. I completed missing regions of her body making sure that they match her body dimensions perfectly along with new textures.

Another important feature of this body is the fact that I fixed her shoulder and elbow rigging. Whenever we extract original model from the game using Gildor's tool, we loose several weights due to 4 bone limitation of the tool thus resulting in uneven vertices and bad stretching around shoulder and elbow parts, on top of this Laura's selection screen pose highlights her shoulders and elbow pits, making them look ugly with uneven rigging so I took my time to fix her weights, hard call but it's worth it, now her shoulders and elbow pits are as smooth as original or pretty close.

In addition to this the mod is carefully mesh modded so there are no visible gaps between her bra/panty and body, the outfit also doesn't deform badly so it looks pretty clean during the movement. Her hair physics are also updated and now have less chance to get stuck with other bodies, breast physics also got a revision with two variants, one with more bounce and another with less bounce. I might also add another variant with no breast physics. This is because physics have very fast frames, they aid in better movement of the object but if you pause them then they make the object look deformed, since SF games pause after you win or loose a match, sometimes her breast looks deformed because of physics and the only way you can fix this is by limiting the physics greatly but that also limits the bounce which kind of eliminate the purpose of having soft physics so I'll include a no bounce version for those who prefer it that way.

The mod is also has color customization with remixed original colors, I ended up using her original sandals because they look perfect bikini sandals but I changed the color scheme such that the sole is permanently black while straps match the bikini color, looks pretty good imo.

Finally all her bikini strings are properly animated. She also wears a nice bracelet now which is also animated ;) yes I love to work on small details, they put new life into the mod.

I think I might have just bored you with all those details but they are important part of this mod so I loved to share them. Anyway enjoy the mod and stay tuned for more !

Cammy Escape From Shadaloo

Cammy Escape From Shadaloo

She finally escaped my modding laboratory.

So I didn't got the time to update my blog from some days but as the saying goes better late than never, here is the much awaited Cammy Escape From Shadaloo mod. It might look like a simple mod with all her gear removed but a lot of work is gone into giving her the details she deserved.

As I explained before it's hard to work on her textures due to immense amount of muscular detail but I am quite satisfied with what I have achieved, her arms look pretty natural with rest of her toned body. I have also improved her feet details, giving them bone lines, sole lines, shadows etc. I dare say that they look as good as some of original SFV feet.

The mod comes with several variants like Original (No Gear), Cap, Belts and Cap + Belts. My aim is to give you as much choice as I can. Finally there is a special diver variant which has her long loose hairs from her premium costume and the goggles.

Hey folks,

As you all know Cammy Escape From Shadaloo mod is going on from quite sometime. The initial iteration of this mod came out as a simple barefoot mod and now it is becoming something really good with proper hands and improved feet. 

I did a lot of work on making her new body parts look natural specially after the fact that she has a very toned muscular body type. It's not easy to bring new parts without matching the muscular details she has therefore I took my time to make sure that her new forearms match perfectly with her triceps. In addition to hands I also enhanced her feet greatly giving them details like bone lines, better textures and fixing the black crack lines that appeared occasionally before. 

Really hoping that this mod will refresh the memory of original Escape From Shadaloo mod created by Sloth for SF4 but until I release it, enjoy this work in progress screenshot.

Chunli barefoot in battle dress is becoming a reality.

Hey folks,

It's been sometime since I last updated the blog, I've been busy with work then The Witcher 3 Blood & Wine got released and then a lot of mods too, it's a busy life.

So making Chunli go barefoot in her battle dress was the most requested mod since I started SFV modding and I too also wanted to do this request but the issue of APEX Clothing destroyed any hope of doing this properly until I found that I can animate her long dress using PhysX instead. It would be ideal if we can use APEX but the issue with APEX is not the technology itself but the tool used to implement it. It's so dated and less functional that it irritates you when you're trying to animate a complex mesh like Chunli's dress so after several tries I decided to dump this idea and choose PhysX instead for the animation.

This led me to test another of my idea that we can actually add new bones to the skeleton and then animate those bones using PhysX, I added 8 bones for each cloth (front and back) resulting in a total of 16 bones and then I animated them using UE4, the result was better than I expected and it also proved the fact that both UE4 and SFV accept new bones and modified skeletons happily.

With some careful work on physics her dress animation will look quite good and that is without APEX Clothing technology.

She's gone barefoot again!

Hey folks,

Last week was pretty busy as far as mods are concerned, a lot releases such as Laura Physics and then updating it with Alternate Pack. Now I am releasing another mod for Laura, it's a barefoot mod for her story costume and it looks amazing. Combine it with physics mod and you'll get a brand new Laura.

Now you might be thinking that I am paying too much attention to Laura but that's not the case, I am also working on Cammy Escape From Shadaloo mod and another secret mod that I cannot reveal yet.

With that said enjoy some more barefoot Laura.

Mods are about more choice, right ?

So after the release of Laura Physics I realized that I can provide players with more choice on hair physics, the collision and less movement makes her hairs kind of solid and some might not enjoy this change so I have decided to make an Alternate Pack that will allow her to have more smooth hairs movement at the cost of collision.

This makes gives her hair more Capcom like movement but as a result they clip with her shoulder. They still have some collision but it's not as accurate as it was with original mod, you can choose which whatever style fancy you.

Laura Physics Release

It's finally out !

Hey folks,

So my hard work finally payed off and the Laura Physics mod is finally out ! I have been working on this mod from several weeks now so it's nice to see it in action. The mod allows Laura to have custom soft body physics as well as new hair physics for both her costume 1 and costume 2. This makes her more provocative and distracting lol but hey she desperately need new soft body physics considering her body type.

The work was quite exhausting as  it required a lot of experimentation to see which physics effect is right for her, my idea was to make the bounce/jiggle effect quite noticeable without making it too exaggerating or unrealistic. I don't know how much I succeeded in achieving that goal but she sure looks better than having no physics at all.

New hair physics allow her hairs to have less clipping with her shoulder with the help of collision but I had to make few compromises like proper hair movement in order to make collision work correctly, it's a trade off between less clipping and more movement.

I will be upgrading physics of other females but for now enjoy "Laura Physics" in action.
